Crazy Times We Live In

My heart just breaks for those dealing with the earthquakes in Japan and abroad, the Tsunami's around the world, and the volcanic disruptions currently taking place.  The images are mind blowing.

This all leaves me weary of our future for some reason.

It makes me pray even harder for salvation for not only myself, but for those I love.

I went on a walk to ease my soul and to spend some alone time with Him.  It helped.  I looked at the bounty of Spring growth around me and it made me smile a little...

even in the midst of bad news coming in from around the world.

This is Home Girl...does any of this scare you???

Nothing really "scares" me...other than large, black spiders! There have always been and there will always be natural disasters. My brother is on the 2012 "end of the world" kick. To paraphrase Matthew 24:36 - "No one will know the time or the day, only the Father" so I am not afraid. I learned a very long time ago not to worry about the things that I cannot control.

Now, aren't you glad you asked? :)

It's very scary, yes... but it doesn't necessarily concern me. Come what may. Trust in God. He is all I need for reassurance...

God bless!

Yes it does, the pictures and video shots I've seen are truly heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers are with all those people who've lost loved ones, their homes etc.

I have faith in God, but that doesn't stop me feeling immense pain when I see the loss of so many lives.

Scared? No. Troubled? Yes. I know where I'm going and I know that time here on this earth will end and time there won't. But I also know there are lots of people hurting and I hurt with them, I ache for their loss, my heart mourns their fear. I do some mission work and I have already called to volunteer where I might be needed. Doing something always feels better than doing nothing. blessings, marlene

A friend of mine once said to "Prepare like you will live forever while living like you will die tomorrow". And that is all I can do.

Yes, it's so incredibly sad and so much of what is going on in the world leaves me apprehensive of the future. Prayers availeth much, so I find myself praying often. God bless.

I definitely think these are signs of the "end times" as we are promised about. I don't put any stock in 2012 thing; there is no date given by our Father telling us when --He just tells us to be ready, and I pray that more and more people will do that. IT is a terrible thing that happened and I imagine the real figures will be shocking--we can only pray for them right now.

Your pictures are beautiful, as usual, Marlene!

I do believe that everything that's been happening lately around the world is a sure sign that the end is drawing near. I don't really worry, though, because I know exactly where I'm headed...and there's a lot of comfort in that!:) Your pictures are so pretty, Marlene!

Beautiful pictures. We have so much to be thankful for and sometimes don't realize the troubles others are having. It's good for all of us to have understanding to everything that surrounds us.....

It scares me a lot, though I try not to think of it. We live in a very treacherous time. A lot of changes occuring. All we can do is be grateful for every single minute we still have with the people we love.
